China on Monday called for joint efforts from the United Nations and regional and subregional organizations to enhance confidence-building and dialogue in conflict prevention and resolution. Chinese President Xi Jinping's special representative Wang Yi, also Chinese state councilor and foreign minister, made the remarks during the United Nations Security Council open debate.
