Chinese mainland reports 10 new confirmed COVID-19 cases

The Chinese mainland recorded 10 new COVID-19 cases on Monday, one from southwest China's Yunnan Province and nine from overseas, data from the National Health Commission (NHC) showed on Tuesday.

No new deaths related to COVID-19 were recorded on Monday, the NHC said.

Nine new asymptomatic cases were recorded on Monday, while 316 asymptomatic patients remain under medical observation.

This brings the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases on the Chinese mainland to 90,520, with the death toll unchanged at 4,636.

The total number of confirmed cases in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and the Taiwan region are as follows:

Hong Kong: 11,695 (11,274 recoveries, 209 deaths)

Macao: 49 (48 recoveries)

Taiwan: 1,076 (1,034 recoveries, 11 deaths)
