The Chinese mainland recorded 21 new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, two from southwest China's Yunnan Province and 19 from overseas, data from the National Health Commission (NHC) showed on Wednesday.
No new deaths related to COVID-19 were recorded on Tuesday, the NHC said.
Seven new asymptomatic cases were recorded on Tuesday, while 311 asymptomatic patients remain under medical observation.
This brings the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases on the Chinese mainland to 90,541, with the death toll unchanged at 4,636.
The total number of confirmed cases in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and the Taiwan region are as follows:
Hong Kong: 11,703 (11,287 recoveries, 209 deaths)
Macao: 49 (48 recoveries)
Taiwan: 1,078 (1,038 recoveries, 11 deaths)
