Five people are missing and one was rescued after a fishing vessel sank in the East China Sea on Wednesday night, according to maritime authorities. 

The fishing vessel from Xiangshan County in China's eastern coastal province of Zhejiang, sank after colliding with a container ship.

The authorities are searching for the missing while an investigation is underway.
