Singapore recently unveiled its ambitious Green Plan 2030, in which it aims to quadruple its solar energy deployment by 2025 using measures including covering the rooftops of housing blocks with solar panels. By 2030, solar energy will be five times that of today, capable of powering over 350,000 households a year. But the land-scarce country is running out of real estate to install solar panels. It is now turning to floating farms to meet its green energy targets.
