The Brooklyn Nets beat the Phoenix Suns 128-119 at Barclays Center on Sunday. Kevin Durant came back for the Nets after missing three games. He went 12-21 on the field to drop 33 points, six rebounds and four assists, making integral contributions to the team's second straight win.

This was the third time for Durant to start off the bench in his career but it did not influence his efficiency at all. Coach Steve Nash waited until the eight minutes in the second quarter to send Durant to the floor to make sure he would not be overloaded but able to stay in the game during the clutch time.

It turned out that the "Slim Reaper" grew hot immediately like a microwave. If scoring nine points in eight minutes in Q2 was not good enough, Durant dominated the Suns in the second half by scoring 24 points. The Suns tried different defenders to cover him but could not stop him at all.

Helping the Nets achieve victory was not the only thing for KD to celebrate on Sunday. He and Mike Conley of the Utah Jazz served as executive producers of "Two Distant Strangers" which won the Oscar for Live Action Short film.

Of course, Kyrie Irving also deserved huge credit for the Nets home win on Sunday night. He had 34 points, six rebounds and 12 assists. "Pretty typical of those two: Efficient, explosive scorers. I thought they did a good job playing off each other and keeping the thing moving and us playing as a team. And I thought there was a pretty good flow out there for the most part," said Nash on Durant and Irving.

Sunday's win is the Nets' 20th win over Western Conference teams this season. So far their record against the West is 20-6, the highest in franchise history. The 76.9-percent winning rate is also the second-highest in NBA history, only next to the Miami Heat's 83.3 percent in the 2012-13 season. The Heat won their second consecutive NBA Championship that season.

Other games on Sunday (away teams come first):

Some may defend the Bucks with the fact that they just played against the Eastern Conference No. 1 Philadelphia 76ers less than 24 hours ago at home before coming to State Farm Arena to challenge the Hawks. However, that excuse is hard to sell because: First, the win over the 76ers was so easy that none of the Bucks even played 30 minutes on Saturday. Second, Trae Young, Cam Reddish and De'Andre Hunter of the Hawks all sat on Sunday's game.

In fact, this was a typical Bucks loss. Giannis Antetokounmpo was unstoppable but the whole team kept missing from the 3-point line. Defensively, their system of prioritizing rim protection was fell through in the last quarter as Bogdan Bogdanovic and Lou Williams together buried eight triples. The two scored 27 points together in Q4, more than that of the Bucks as a team.

Sacramento Kings 113-117 Golden State Warriors

Fans at Chase Center witnessed another record night for Stephen Curry on Sunday. Having gone 7-11 from downtown, Curry has already drained 85 triples in April, beating James Harden's record of 82. Moreover, Harden shot at 39 percent while Curry's 3-point percent is 48 percent. It was also Curry's 12th 30+point game (37 points) of the month. It surpassed the record of Rick Barry as the second-longest in Warriors history, only next to that of Wilt Chamberlain.

Furthermore, Curry did it at 33 years old. The only one who achieved the same performance and was older than Curry was Kobe Bryant who did it at 34 in 2012.

In Sunday's game, three of the triples Curry made happened from 33, 34 and 36 feet respectively, making him the first in 25 seasons to bury three shots from 33+feet in a single half. Young did it once but it took him the whole game. The NBA 3-point line is 23.78 feet.
