The European Union has launched legal action against AstraZeneca for breach of contract in supplying vaccines. The company says the lawsuit is without merit and it will defend itself strongly in court. Under the contract, the company committed to delivering 180 million doses in the second quarter of this year. But in March, it could only provide 70 million.
