The Russian Federal Antimonopoly Service on Tuesday imposed a $12.1 million fine on Apple Inc. for abusing its dominant position on the iOS application distribution market.

The anti-monopoly watchdog said in a statement that Apple "put up obstacles for developers of parental control apps and lacked concise rules for approving applications on the app store."
