Britain has imposed sanctions on 22 people from Russia, South Africa, South Sudan and throughout Latin America, using a new global regime aimed at fighting corruption abroad for the first time, British Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab said Monday.

The sanctions list includes people accused of involvement in embezzlement, bribery, colluding with terrorists, and drug trafficking, as well as 14 Russians linked to a massive fraud scheme alleged by tax lawyer Sergei Magnitsky.
