A gunman, suspected of killing two and wounding another in a series of drive-by shooting incidents in Los Angeles, was killed by police Tuesday morning after a five-hour chase and exchange of gunfire.
According to Raul Jovel, a local police officer, the shooter's rampage occurred from 0:55 a.m. to 1:25 a.m. local time when he drove a white Jeep Cherokee and shot at three vehicles along a main street in Los Angeles downtown, killing two and injuring another.
The suspect was killed by police after an hours-long standoff following a pursuit on State Route 91 in Anaheim, about 25 miles southeast of downtown Los Angeles, according to authorities.
The police have yet to determine the motive of the shootings.
