The Chinese mainland recorded 12 new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, all from overseas, data from the National Health Commission (NHC) showed on Wednesday.

No more deaths related to COVID-19 were reported on Tuesday, the NHC said.

Seventeen new asymptomatic cases were recorded the same day, while 327 asymptomatic patients are under medical observation.

The total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases on the Chinese mainland reads 90,622, with the death toll unchanged at 4,636.

The total number of confirmed cases in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and the Taiwan region are as follows:

Hong Kong: 11,748 (11,379 recoveries, 209 deaths)

Macao: 49 (49 recoveries)

Taiwan: 1,110 (1,050 recoveries, 12 deaths)
