China successfully sent the core module of its space station - the Tianhe core module - into space on April 29. Xu Yansong, director-general of the Asia Pacific Space Cooperation Organization, said that space technology is quite important for our daily life: "If you switch off space facilities for one day, you would lose everything, you lose weather forecasts, telecommunications, navigation, and basically you're blind."
