AstraZeneca has confirmed setbacks in the production of the COVID-19 vaccine in Latin America, except Brazil. The drugmaker said in a statement that it will still meet the commitment to deliver 150 million doses to the region this year. The company says lower-than-expected production, shortages of critical supplies, and longer periods for regulatory approval have slowed the process.
