The first batch of 200,000 doses of China's Sinopharm COVID-19 vaccine arrived in North Macedonia on Friday.

The country's Health Minister Venko Filipce and Chinese Ambassador to North Macedonia Zhang Zuo attended the welcoming ceremony. Filipce expressed gratitude for China's help, noting that the 200,000 doses make up the largest batch of COVID-19 vaccines the country has received.

These vaccines will be used to expand the country's massive vaccination project, which started on February 17.
