Chinese mainland reports 17 new confirmed COVID-19 cases

The Chinese mainland recorded 17 new COVID-19 cases on Monday, all from overseas, data from the National Health Commission (NHC) showed on Tuesday.

No new deaths related to COVID-19 were reported on Monday, the NHC said.

Twenty new asymptomatic cases were recorded, while 328 asymptomatic patients are under medical observation.

The total number of the confirmed COVID-19 cases on the Chinese mainland stands at 90,714, with the death toll remained 4,636.

The total number of confirmed cases in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and the Taiwan region are as follows:

Hong Kong: 11,786 (11,447 recoveries, 210 deaths)

Macao: 49 (49 recoveries)

Taiwan: 1,145 (1,058 recoveries, 12 deaths)
