COVID-19: The situation in Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Myanmar and Bhutan

As Nepal grapples with a spike in coronavirus cases, several other countries in the region are also going on high alert. In Bangladesh, an ongoing nationwide lockdown is being extended until mid-May. In Sri Lanka, the total number of confirmed cases has topped 115,000. Schools have been shut, and people are urged to stay at home. In Myanmar, concerns are growing over a third wave of infections amid months of protests against the military takeover.
