China slammed Taiwan official Joseph Wu's recent interview on Friday, doubling down its determination to destroy all separatist activities advocating 'Taiwan independence.'

During the interview with Sydney-based Australian Financial Review, the head of the Taiwan authorities' foreign relations department has called on the Australian government to stand with Taiwan in the fight against "final assault" from China.

Wu's explicit separating remarks are made-up lies aiming to fool the people of Taiwan or from the international community at large, said Spokesperson for the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council Zhu Fenglian.

There is no way out for such separating activities, stressed Zhu. "China is confident and fully able to destroy all separating activities advocating 'Taiwan independence'."
