Chinese mainland reports 13 new confirmed COVID-19 cases

The Chinese mainland recorded 13 new COVID-19 cases on Thursday, all from overseas, data from the National Health Commission (NHC) showed on Friday.

No new deaths related to COVID-19 were reported on Thursday, the NHC said.

Seventeen new asymptomatic cases were recorded, while 318 asymptomatic patients are under medical observation.

The total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases on the Chinese mainland stands at 90,739, with the death toll remaining at 4,636.

The total number of confirmed cases in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and the Taiwan region are as follows:

Hong Kong: 11,798 (11,468 recoveries, 210 deaths)

Macao: 49 (49 recoveries)

Taiwan: 1,173 (1,075 recoveries, 12 deaths)
