The Chinese mainland recorded 12 new COVID-19 cases on Saturday, all from overseas, data from the National Health Commission (NHC) showed on Sunday. No new deaths related to COVID-19 were reported on Saturday, the NHC said.

Ten new asymptomatic cases were recorded, while 308 asymptomatic patients are under medical observation. 

The total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases on the Chinese mainland stands at 90,758, with the death toll remaining at 4,636. 

The total number of confirmed cases in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and the Taiwan region are as follows: 

Hong Kong: 11,806 (11,486 recoveries, 210 deaths)

Macao: 49 (49 recoveries)

Taiwan: 1,183 (1,082 recoveries, 12 deaths)
