Philippine logs first cases of COVID-19 variant detected in India

The Philippine health department on Tuesday said it has logged two cases of COVID-19 variant detected in India, the first in the country, local media reported.

At least two cases of the B.1.617 variant from India has been confirmed, said the Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire at an online press conference.
