With a large common space, reasonable layout and convenient locations,  co-working spaces were the fastest-growing type of office space in commercial real estate before COVID-19. First introduced in China some five years ago, shared workspaces have seen a surge in popularity amid the coronavirus epidemic. WeWork, a multinational real estate service that provides shared workspace services worldwide, says its corporate members with 500 employees or more jumped from 43 percent in 2020 to 53 percent in 2021.
