Recently, flocks of black-crowned night herons were seen building nests in the trees of a wetland near the Xixinan Township in Huangshan City of east China's Anhui Province.

The black-crowned night heron is a common bird that likes to choose wetlands with plenty of food as a breeding habitat.

The breeding season for black-crowned night heron is from April to August.
