China hit back at a Wall Street Journal report on the Seychelles, which questioned the effectiveness of the Chinese vaccines. Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Hua Chunying said, "If they really care about the effectiveness and safety of the vaccines, then why do they selectively avoid reporting on cases of side effects in their own country? Why do they turn a blind eye to the fact that the Chinese vaccine has been approved by the WHO for its safety, effectiveness and high quality?"
