Competition between China and the U.S. is heating up. The U.S. plans to bolster spending for research and development in technology and innovation. Senior research fellow at the Center for China and Globalization Andy Mok said the U.S. is afraid of losing its leadership in the technological field. He also said the U.S.' big investments in key technologies are mostly self-defeating.
