Lu'an City, east China's Anhui Province, reported one new COVID-19 case, bringing the total number of confirmed cases in the city to three, local health authorities said on Friday. 

Meanwhile, a total of seven asymptomatic cases were reported in the city from Thursday to Friday. 

The local health commission initially determined that the outbreak in Lu'an was imported from outside the province, as there had been no confirmed cases in the city since mid-February last year.
