East China's Anhui Province reported two new confirmed coronavirus cases in the city of Lu'an, the provincial health authorities said in a news briefing on Sunday afternoon.
As of 12:00 p.m. Sunday, Anhui Province logged seven confirmed cases, of which five were in Yu'an District of Lu'an City and two in the capital city of Hefei. All the seven asymptomatic were also recorded in Lu'an.
The authorities said all the infections were linked with a photo studio in Lu'an.
The head of the Yu'an District health commission has been suspended and two medical institutions have been ordered to close down temporarily due to treating fever patients without authorization.
Genome sequencing of the virus showed it doesn't belong to the more contagious variants found in India or South Africa, the authorities added.
