Chinese mainland reports 4 new locally transmitted COVID-19 cases

The Chinese mainland reported four locally transmitted COVID-19 cases on Saturday, all in northeast China's Liaoning Province, data from the National Health Commission (NHC) showed on Sunday.

The NHC has dispatched a work team to Liaoning to help manage virus prevention and control.

Fourteen cases from overseas were also reported on Saturday. No new deaths related to COVID-19 were reported on Saturday, the NHC said.

Nineteen new asymptomatic cases were recorded, with 346 asymptomatic patients under medical observation.

The total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases on the Chinese mainland stands at 90,847, with the death toll remaining at 4,636.

The total number of confirmed cases in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and the Taiwan region is as follows:

Hong Kong: 11,821 (11,522 recoveries, 210 deaths)

Macao: 49 (49 recoveries)

Taiwan: 1,475 (1,116 recoveries, 12 deaths)
