A district in Yingkou City, northeast China's Liaoning Province, has launched a second round of nucleic acid testing after new COVID-19 cases were reported there. All 500,000 residents in Bayuquan District will be tested. Local authorities have set up over 440 testing sites and medical staff were providing door-to-door testing for the elderly, children and frail residents. Schools and kindergartens in the district have also been temporarily closed.
