The Chinese mainland reported four locally transmitted COVID-19 cases on Monday, all in Liaoning Province, data from the National Health Commission (NHC) showed on Tuesday.  

Eighteen cases from overseas were also reported, but no more deaths related were logged in the day, the NHC said.

Twenty new asymptomatic cases were recorded, with 349 asymptomatic patients under medical observation.

The total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases on the Chinese mainland stands at 90,872, with the death toll remaining at 4,636.

The total number of confirmed cases in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and the Taiwan region is as follows:

Hong Kong: 11,825 (11,531 recoveries, 210 deaths)

Macao: 50 (49 recoveries)

Taiwan: 2,017 (1,123 recoveries, 12 deaths)
