Dozens of Palestinians were protesting outside Damascus Gate in Jerusalem's Old City before Israeli security forces fired water cannons, stun grenades and tear gas and made several arrests. The protest came as Palestinians across Israel and the occupied territories waged a general strike in a rare collective action against Israel's policies.
