The Endless Frontier Act passed by the U.S. Senate Commerce Committee is a new proposal designed to support a stronger U.S. technology base: a move that could be a more substantial play in the ongoing U.S.-China hi-tech competition. So how will this act help to renew America’s global leadership in science and technology? How will China-U.S. hi-tech competition evolve? And what does that mean for China? Guests in this edition are Professor Liu Baocheng from the University of International Business and Economics; James Andrew Lewis, Senior Vice President at the Center for Strategic and International Studies and Iain Begg, Professor at the European Institute of the London School of Economics and Political Science.
