Chinese experts said the country's vaccines are effective against the variants found in India on Thursday at a press conference in Beijing. Shao Yiming, an expert from China's Center for Disease Control and Prevention warned that the virus will continue mutating. He said once current vaccines lose their effectiveness against new strains, inactivated vaccines developed by China could offer a quick solution, since their production won't need to be adjusted. He added that China is capable of deploying more vaccines against the new variants.
