U.S. House votes to set up commission to investigate January 6 attack

The U.S. House of Representatives has voted to create an independent commission to investigate the Capitol riots. It would establish a bipartisan 10-member panel body if approved by the Senate. Thirty-five Republicans defied their party leaders and former President Donald Trump to side with the Democrats in pushing the vote through, 252 to 175.
