No casualties so far after 7.4-magnitude quake hits NW China's Qinghai

A magnitude-7.4 earthquake jolted northwest China's Qinghai Province on Saturday. It struck Maduo County at 2:04 a.m. at a depth of 17 kilometers, according to the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC). In the past five years, about 25 earthquakes of magnitude 3 or above have occurred within 200 kilometers of the epicenter, the largest of which occurred Saturday, CENC data showed.
