U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken was in Cairo on Wednesday, the third leg of his Middle East tour, to meet with President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi. Blinken is on a diplomatic mission to bolster the truce that ended 11 days of violence between Israel and Hamas militants. Egypt has long-standing relations with both sides in the conflict and played a key role in brokering the ceasefire. Blinken has vowed to rally support to speed up humanitarian aid to the Palestinian enclave of Gaza.
