Three rescued, three still trapped in E China's mine accident

Three mine workers have been rescued and three others are still trapped underground in a coal mine as of 5:32 p.m. Friday in east China's Shandong Province after a roof collapsed Wednesday night, local authorities said.

Six miners were trapped underground at about 11 p.m. on Wednesday at a coal mine in Weishan County of Jining City, the emergency management bureau of the county said.

The rescued miners are all in a stable condition and search and rescue efforts are ongoing, according to the bureau.
