The Japanese delegation for the Tokyo Olympic Games will receive COVID-19 vaccinations from June 1, the Japanese Olympic Committee announced.

The Japanese delegation comprises of around 1,600 athletes, coaches, and officials. They will be vaccinated at Tokyo's National Training Center (NTC) from next Tuesday by medical staff from the nation's governing sports bodies, Japan Times reported.

The delegation has 600 athletes, including some who are yet to clinch their berths for the Olympic Games scheduled for July 23-August 8.
