Germany for 1st time recognizes committing genocide in Namibia: AFP

Germany for the first time formally recognized that it had committed "genocide" in Namibia at the beginning of the 20th century, reported AFP on Friday.

"We will now officially refer to these events as what they are from today's perspective: genocide," said Foreign Minister Heiko Maas in a statement.
