As China's tech megacity, Shenzhen is part of the Pearl River Delta. Despite being perched in the most densely urbanized regions in the world, it boasts pristine coastal sceneries. 

Researchers from the Shenzhen Institute of Guangdong Ocean University are working on several coral reef conservation projects to protect the marine environment. They have "planted" corals on the seafloor and installed real-time monitoring cameras to observe the sea world 24X7.
