On May 28, Chinese archaeologists unveiled major new findings at the Sanxingdui Ruins site in southwest China's Sichuan Province, including a 1.15-meter-tall bronze figure holding a zun (ancient Chinese drinking vessel) over head in Pit No. 3. The huge bronze sculpture comprising of a figure and a zun is the first of its kind ever found on the planet. The excavation work of the ivory carvings in Pits No. 3 and No. 4 has been basically completed.
