Chinese, Irish foreign ministers discuss challenges to multilateralism, bilateral ties
In southwest China's Guizhou Province, Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi held talks with his Irish counterpart Simon Coveney in the city of Guiyang. It's Coveney's first visit to China since 2018. The two diplomats discussed a wide range of issues, including challenges to multilateralism and bilateral ties. The meeting took place in the context of Ireland's two-year membership of the UN Security Council. Beijing said it hopes the meeting will be constructive to China-EU relations.
