Two residential communities in the Liwan District of Guangzhou, south China's Guangdong Province, which accounted for most of the COVID-19 cases in the city, were declared to be high-risk areas, according to a statement issued by the city's health commission on Wednesday.
Residential buildings of two communities in the Panyu District were upgraded from low risk to medium risk.
As of Tuesday morning, the capital city of Guangdong Province has logged 34 confirmed COVID-19 cases and eight asymptomatic infections.
