Running out of new ways to criticize China, the U.S. is back with its "lab leak" theory on the origins of COVID-19. This time around, an "undisclosed intelligence report" citing anonymous U.S. officials is being relied upon.

The report alleges that three researchers from the Wuhan Institute of Virology were sick enough to be hospitalized in November 2019, a few weeks before China reported its first case. It claims this situation adds weight to suspicions that the virus may have leaked from the lab.
