The wild Asian elephant herd entered southwest China's Kunming City after moving along the north side of Yuxi City. According to the experts, the herd is currently heading northwest, while the main residential areas of Kunming sit in the northeast. But the possibility of the elephants changing direction cannot be ruled out. Yunnan forestry authorities have coordinated at least 12 surveillance drones and dispatched emergency response teams and Asian elephant experts to study and estimate the herd's migration route.
