Indonesian President Joko Widodo's special envoy, Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, will visit China from June 5 to 9 at the invitation of Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Wang Wenbin said on Friday.

Wang Yi and Luhut, Indonesia's coordinator for cooperation with China and coordinating minister, will co-chair the first meeting on the China-Indonesia high-level dialogue and cooperation mechanism in Guiyang City, southwest China's Guizhou Province, said Wang, the spokesman.

"As major developing countries and rising economies, China and Indonesia have a lot in common to talk about and enjoy extensive shared interests, with big room for cooperation," said the spokesman.

China is ready to work with Indonesia to implement the consensus reached by the two heads of state, make good use of the high-level dialogue and cooperation mechanism and advance bilateral ties to become more fruitful in the post-pandemic era to benefit people of both countries and the region, he told reporters at a daily briefing.
