Two aggressive jackals were seen kicking up dust as they broke away from feasting on a carcass to fight. The predators were part of a pack of between 20 and 30 which were sharing a springbok beside a watering hole at dawn. But the scuffle soon ended and the pair returned to their eating with the rest of the pack.
The photos were taken by photographer Elzabe Bogenhofer at the Etosha National Park in Namibia, southwestern Africa.
