On June 5, the United Nations will kick off World Environment Day by launching a decade-long focus on restoring ecosystems. From the perspective of the UN, in the next decade, at least one billion hectares of degraded land – that's equivalent to the size of China – will boost the fight against climate change, loss of habitat and pollution.
