All 11 districts in Guangzhou City in south China's Guangdong Province have launched mass testing for COVID-19 in wake of a cluster of infections found in the city since May 21.
Some of the districts have started testing residents on Friday while some on Saturday.
As of Friday, the city has reported a total of 73 confirmed COVID-19 cases and 12 asymptomatic cases.
New traffic restrictions are also imposed in Guangzhou's Nansha district with city buses, subway, ferry and long-distance passenger transport operations suspended since 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
Expressways, high-speed trains and docks leaving the district are also temporarily closed.
