Russian President Vladimir Putin says relations with the U.S. are at an extremely low point and the two sides must try to find ways to mend ties. Speaking Friday at the Saint Petersburg International Economic Forum, he said Russia-U.S. relations have become hostage to internal politics in Washington but fundamental interests in security, strategic stability and arms reduction are more important than the U.S. domestic political  situation.
