The Z-20 is China's latest military utility helicopter. Developed by the Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC), it is 100 percent China-made. The medium-lift utility helicopter was designed to operate in plateau regions above 4,000 meters in altitude and adapt to different terrains and weather. It can be deployed in multiple missions, including transport of troops and cargo, reconnaissance, search and rescue, and anti-submarine operations, as well as perform assault and fire support missions. The Z-20 is equipped with advanced sensors and other avionics systems to assist its pilot in making the right judgment at night, making it a good fit for aerial assault missions.
